Lekhani uses she/her pronouns. She is an actress, writer, facilitator, youth worker and theatre maker based in Manchester. Her unique background as a Cumbrian of Black Mixed Heritage (Malawian & English), a queer, working class and neurodivergent woman, has empowered her to become a powerful creative voice. She considers herself an activist within the creative field and has recently been elected onto Equity’s Race & Equality committee. Storytelling and community is at the heart of all of her work to make a change. Lekhani has just joined the UNION 26 cohort with The Northern School for Creativity & Activism where she will be exploring her practice of social change and activism.
