Lekhani has participate in 3 R&D’s for 90 + 5 with LaLa Arts. Each time playing a different character/role and contributing her devising skills. 90 + 5’s new creatively accessible and community driven production based on historical facts, footie and the world we live in today.

This socially engaged show explored football culture & the surprising vehicle it becomes when depicting women’s history which we promise is a lot funnier than it may sound.

Amara meets Bridgette at a protest, one of those ‘hippy, green, save-the-planet’ things. She’s just popped out to grab some milk and now she’s late – and there’s a flood coming.

Bridgette’s a committed activist. Amara’s about to finish her GCSEs. Their town’s been flooded.

Again.

But how’s getting arrested going to help anything? They can’t afford to do that.

BURNOUT is devised by ShyBairn Theatre (BREACH Theatre Associate Company 2021/2022), written by Nicole Acquah (Women’s Playwriting Prize Shortlist 2022 for SANKOFA) and created with climate activists across the UK.

Since September 2023, Lekhani has worked on multiple projects with Anti Racist Cumbria including Living Whilst Black Youth and Young Black ARCtivists as part of The TikTok Project. Lekhani has supported the young people’s residential at Low Gillerthwaite in Ennerdale where they spent time together outdoors. In 2025, she worked on the Creator Lab Project; a collective of young Black and Brown voices from across Cumbria. Lekhani was the video lead and supported them in showcasing their work which was then shared at the Summit in October 2025. In Summer 2025, Lekhani also supported 9 young people on a trip down to London to watch Hamilton.

In 2025, Lekhani worked as a facilitator with Y1 & Y5 in primary schools to develop two new plays on the theme of joy and surprise. The plays they wrote together were ‘A Christmas Bond’ and ‘A Boy’s Mysterious Power’. These brilliant productions were brought to life by a very exciting cast, who play a whole host of characters from a zombie to a chicken nugget and so much more! Both were performed as part of The Den Festival 2025 in Stalybridge at The Civic Hall.

Since April 2024, Lekhani has been delivering sessions for Starling CIO with neurodivergent young people across schools and community groups in Greater Manchester. Notable projects she has worked on as an artist is The Party which was a devised performance on how to engage at a party as a neurodivergent adult. This was celebrating Starling’s 5th Birthday at Contact Theatre. An evening celebrating neurodiversity through music, art and performance.
